framingham high performance home

This high-performance renovation and expansion of an existing Framingham home was designed to improve both the way the house lives and the way it performs. The project pairs a thoughtfully integrated second floor addition with major energy-efficiency improvements, including a more efficient building envelope, upgraded mechanical systems, and balanced ventilation to create a healthier, more comfortable home with significantly reduced energy demands. Rather than treating sustainability as a separate feature, high-performance principles were integrated throughout the design and construction process—demonstrating how an existing New England home can be transformed for modern living while substantially improving its long-term performance. A large array of solar PV was also installed on the roof, allowing the house to achieve net zero.
