harvard deck house

This project began with a comprehensive master plan to reimagine the property as a long-term lifestyle retreat—one that balances everyday function, outdoor living, and future home expansion. Rather than approaching improvements in isolation, the design strategy was organized into phased investments that allow the property to evolve thoughtfully over time.

Phase One focuses on transforming the exterior grounds into an amenity-rich environment centered around recreation, gathering, and connection to nature. The site plan introduces a new pool and spa, expanded hardscape terraces, dining and lounge zones, fire pit seating, landscape lighting, curated planting beds, and productive garden spaces. Each element was carefully positioned to create a cohesive outdoor experience that feels both luxurious and livable.

Equally important, the exterior improvements were planned in coordination with the home’s future architecture. Circulation paths, utility planning, grading, and spatial relationships were intentionally considered so that today’s site work supports tomorrow’s additions rather than conflicts with them.

Phase Two will shift focus to the residence itself, including a substantial renovation, new garage addition, and expanded primary suite designed to elevate comfort and functionality while aligning with the property’s modern character.

Together, the phased approach creates a roadmap for meaningful transformation—delivering immediate lifestyle value through the landscape while setting the foundation for a fully integrated home in the years ahead.
